"Será un desafío totalmente diferente este fin de semana en Portimao comparado con Baréin e Imola. El circuito es muy divertido para pilotar y creo que en estos coches de Fórmula 1 modernos será muy emocionante, sobre todo con los enormes cambios de altura. Sólo he rodado allí en mojado, así que habrá una curva de aprendizaje para empezar, pero me encantan los nuevos retos. Queremos sumar más puntos este fin de semana".

"Fue un fin de semana difícil para todos [Imola]. Fue como hacer tres carreras en una con la lluvia, las condiciones de seco y la bandera roja. Aprendí mucho, sobre todo si tenemos en cuenta el tiempo tan limitado de test en pretemporada y las 32 vueltas que di en Baréin. Pero las carreras de Fórmula 1 llegan rápido y cada fin de semana aprendo más y me adapto mejor al coche. Siempre hay un período de adaptación en cualquier equipo o coche nuevo, pero estoy trabajando duro para volver a estar al 100%".

"Si echamos la vista atrás al fin de semana, estamos felices por haber sumado nuestros primeros puntos de la temporada y las actualizaciones que llevamos fueron positivas y funcionaron bien". Me sentí más contento en general con el coche y creo que tenemos más potencial para mejorar. Las fábricas trabajan duro y fue bueno ver la recompensa. Vamos a llevar esta positividad a Portugal y espero que podamos mostrar un progreso mayor allí".

"It was a very tough weekend for everyone [Imola]. It was like doing three races in one, with the wet and dry conditions as well as the red flag. I learnt a lot from the weekend and especially after such a limited amount of testing in pre-season and only 32 laps in Bahrain during race conditions. But Formula 1 races come thick and fast, and each weekend I learn more and adapt better to the car. There is always a period of adaptation in any new team or car, but I am working hard to be back to 100%."  

"Looking back at the weekend we were obviously happy to score our first points of the season, and the upgrades we brought to the car were positive and worked well. I felt happier with the overall feel of the car and I think there is more potential there for us to improve. The factories are working hard, and it was good to see this paying off. We’ll take this positivity forward into Portugal and hopefully we can show further progression there."

"It will be a totally different challenge this weekend in Portimão compared to Bahrain and Imola. The circuit is very fun to drive and I think in these modern Formula 1 cars it will be very exciting, especially with the huge elevation changes. I’ve only tested here before in very wet conditions, so it will be a bit of a learning curve to begin with, but I love new challenges. We want to score more points this weekend."

Su equipo Alpine lo confirmó en un comunicado oficial que se publicó en su sitio web. "Lamentamos confirmar que nuestro piloto Fernando Alonso ya no será parte de nuestro equipo a partir de 2022.
